ACTRESS Anna Kendrick is set to join Zac Efron and Adam DeVine in the 20th Century Fox comedy “Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates.”

    Efron and DeVine are set to portray a pair of hard-partying and immature brothers who place an online ad to find plus-ones for an upcoming wedding. Kendrick’s character is described as a wild child with a romantic heart. The romcom is going to reunite the actress with her “Pitch Perfect” co-star DeVine.

    Jake Szymanski is on board to direct, with Chernin Entertainment producing along with Jonathan Levine. Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O’Brien, the duo who wrote 2014’s Efron and Seth Rogen-starring R-rated comedy “Neighbors,” are tapped to pen the script. Daria Cercek is overseeing the project for Fox.

    Kendrick is currently filming “The Accountant” opposite Ben Affleck in Atlanta.(SD-Agencies)
