A Shenzhen doctor checks the eyes of a Nepalese man in Kathmandu, capital of Nepal, yesterday. A team of six Shenzhen ophthalmologists helped 80 Nepalese people with impaired vision by performing free cataract operations on the day. The charity event will take place every year, according to the Aniko Society of Nepal, which organized the event with the Youth Chawnese Sodality of Shenzhen. There are around 60,000 Nepalese at risk of losing their sight due to cataracts every year in the country of 280 million people, according to the Aniko Society of Nepal.
