    Fix someone's wagon

    报复某人

    Fix someone's wagon字面解释是“修理某人的车”,这是什么意思呢?请看对话:

A: I heard that William has applied for the same position as you have. Now you have strong competition.

B: But he told me he was not interested. Hasn't he already been designated as head of the marketing department? He'd better mind his own business or I'll fix his wagon.

A: By the way, did you bring my book?

    B: I forgot!

A: Again? If you don't bring it tomorrow, I'll fix your wagon!

Note: It's a slang term meaning to "get even with or punish someone." Here fix doesn't mean "fix" in the sense of repair, but in the sense of fix it so it won't work. So it means "I'll sabotage your wagon so you can't get around." People also say "fix his little red wagon," which reminds of a child's toy wagon. Interestingly, in Chinese people also say "修理" (fix) someone, which means to give him a lesson.
