SOUTH KOREA VOWS TO RAISE SUNKEN FERRY
     2015-April-17  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Relatives of victims of the Sewol ferry disaster weep as they stand on the deck of a boat during a visit to the site of the sunken ferry off the coast of South Korea’s southern island of Jindo on Thursday. South Korean President Park Geun-hye vowed to raise the 6,825-ton ferry Thursday, but was still snubbed by grieving relatives on the first anniversary of the disaster that claimed 304 lives — most of them schoolchildren. The families said that Park had failed to give other assurances on ensuring a fully independent inquiry into the tragedy. (Story on P4)SD-Agencies
