BALTIMORE DEPLOYS NATIONAL GUARD AS RIOTS ERUPT
     2015-April-29  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A demonstrator jumps on a damaged police car during clashes in Baltimore, Maryland, the United States, on Monday. Thousands of police and National Guard troops were ordered to back up beleaguered officers in Baltimore yesterday after riots triggered by anger over the death of a black man in police custody. The state of Maryland declared a state of emergency after furious rioters looted businesses, ransacking shops and stealing armloads of merchandise, and torched cars. It was the most violent protest against police treatment of African Americans since arson and gunfire in Ferguson, Missouri, last year.
