THESE are the amazing pictures that could be about to spark the latest viral internet sensation after a former pro rugby player has brought the “Human Flag” craze to the U.K.
The images of Dave Jackson, 32, preforming the difficult move, which is part of the calisthenics regime currently sweeping the U.S., have gone viral.
It involves using incredible body strength to suspend yourself sideways in mid-air to make a human flag — using a static object as the pole.
Fitness fanatics across America who have been able to pull off the move have posted pictures of themselves on social media.
As a result the “Human Flag” is being heralded as the next Internet web craze since the likes of “Planking” and the “Ice-Bucket Challenge.”
Now fitness coach Dave, who used to be the captain of Nottingham Rugby Club, has brought the technique to the U.K.
After taking three months to learn the challenging move he can now stay in position for 10 seconds and has spent the last few months showing it off across the globe.
Dave has been pictured performing the “Human Flag” using a pole at a beach party in Ibiza as well as from a road sign in Australia.
He has also been snapped at various landmarks in his hometown of Nottingham including from the city’s iconic Robin Hood statue. Another amazing picture shows Dave using one of his own bodybuilding pals as the pole while he pulls off the amazing feat.
His human flagpole images have since gone viral after being shared hundreds of times on Facebook and Twitter.
Dave said: “People have been doing the flag for years but now it’s been given a name.
“It took me three months to perfect. However the first person I taught managed to pick it up in just six weeks.
“I can now stay up there for about 10 seconds — just long enough to have my photo taken. But the world record is more than a minute and a half.”
A survey of 4,000 sports professionals in America named calisthenics training as their favored fitness technique for 2015.(SD-Agencies)
