The Eshima Ohashi bridge in Japan rises sharply so ships can pass underneath. The concrete road bridge — the third largest of its kind in the world — spans a mile (1.6 kilometers) across Lake Nakaumi, linking the cities of Matsue and Sakaiminato. Its incredible slope gives it a roller coaster-like appearance.
