A TOTAL of 18,542 overseas buyers from 97 countries and regions will attend the 11th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) to be held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center between May 14 and May 18.
More than 40 countries, including Lithuania, India, Malaysia, Chile, Iran and Egypt will display innovative designs. Russia and North Korea will hold auctions for their art products in hall number six.
Overseas exhibitors will account for 20 percent of the total exhibition area. Fifteen procurement matchmaking fairs will be held during the five-day event, according to the fair’s organizer.
For the first time, the ICIF organizer will set up a Silk Road exhibition hall, displaying traditional arts, innovative designs, cultural products and tourism products from 15 cities and countries along the Silk Road.
The fair organizer will continue its overseas strategy by setting up an ICIF Poland Fine Works Exhibition at Boznan Arts and Crafts Festival between Dec. 4 and 6.
At this year’s fair, Longhua New Area will be added as a subvenue, bringing the number of subvenues to eight.
Fuyong Subdistrict in Bao’an District will organize intangible cultural heritage displays and an international light festival at Fenghuang Ancient Village.
The subdistrict will arrange for electric buses to operate between the Airport East station on Luobao Line and the village to transport visitors to the fair.
