Winners of screenwriting competition announced in Beijing
     2015-May-7  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE winners of the Second Young People’s Screenwriting Competition, one of China’s most prestigious contests for college students, have been announced in Beijing.

Ten original screenplays out of 50 nominations won the awards at a ceremony held at Beijing Normal University.

The competition was created with the aim of discovering new screenplays by up-and-coming young writers.

Around 517 screenplays entered the annual contest, which was launched in January this year.

The competition is part of the Beijing College Student Film Festival. The annual event, held between April and May, is one of the biggest film festivals in China.
