A SINO-BRITISH international community carnival is going to land in Shenzhen on May 17 in East Pacific Square in Futian District in order to celebrate Sino-British cultural exchange this year.
Chinese Premier Li Keqiang visited the United Kingdom in June 2014 and named 2015 a cultural exchange year for the two countries.
Jointly held by the Futian District Foreign Affairs Office and Prosen International Education Group, the international event will have a performance that combines Chinese creativity with British entertainment elements.
Dancing groups from the United Kingdom will put on a traditional Scottish folk dancing performance. Local dancers from the Xiangmihu neighborhood are also going to stage classic Chinese dances for the audience. Other performances include singing, poetry reading and an electronic music performance.
The organizers will also set up stalls showing Chinese and British cultural goods and various types of food. There will also be some British cars on display, such as a Mini and Jaguar.
