    Teresa Teng emembered

CHINESE songstress Faye Wong is completing a song that was left unfinished by the late Taiwanese singer, Teresa Teng.

The singer recorded the song at a studio Friday, which marked the 20th anniversary of Teng’s death. The song, titled “Qing Ping Diao” (translated as “Pure and Peaceful Tune”), was adapted from a famous poem written by Chinese poet Li Bai. It was partly sung by Teng before her death in 1995 from a severe respiratory attack. A music video will be created as an accompaniment to the song when it is released later on.

A DOCUMENTARY chronicling late paramount leader Deng Xiaoping’s official visit to the United States in 1979 will be screened in theaters this Friday.

“Mr. Deng goes to Washington” details then Vice Premier Deng’s visit to the United States from late January to early February, including receptions, meetings with American politicians, TV interviews and other events. The historic visit took place shortly after the United States established diplomatic relations with China that January. Director Fu Hongxing said the film honors Deng’s contributions to China as well as his influence on generations of Chinese.

    Co-guardianship

A COURT has granted co-guardianship of Bobbi Kristina Brown to Brown’s father Bobby Brown and aunt Pat Houston, Atlanta NBC affiliate 11 Alive reported.

Under the agreement, Brown and Houston will both be responsible for Bobbi Kristina’s care and medical needs. Bobbi Kristina, the 22-year-old daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, was found face-down and unresponsive in the bathtub of her Georgia home on Jan. 31. Rushed to the hospital, she was placed in a medically induced coma. She was reportedly moved to a rehabilitation facility in March. According to her grandmother, Cissy Houston, Brown suffers from global irreversible brain damage.
