CHINESE actress Peng Dan was named the most popular actress at the 2nd Sino-American International TV Festival held in Los Angeles, the United States.

    When she accepted the award, Peng said that Los Angeles was her lucky place, where she had won best actress and best director awards at last year’s 10th Sino-American Film Festival.

    Peng has performed several times on Broadway and at the Lincoln Center in New York. The actress said she had always had the “Chinese dream” of being awarded in the United States.

    After the ceremony, she told reporters that she wished to do more TV series or films that embody the national spirit of China and promote Chinese culture.(CRI)
