But in this episode of “Modern Family,” the speaker thought the lady was calling him and his partner “cream puffs.” In slang usage, cream puff also refers to a person who is not strong or brave, or sissy. Some people describe a boy as a sissy when they disapprove of him because he does not like rough physical activities or is afraid to do things dangerous. It’s a discriminatory term used for gay people.
