    “毯” is short for “红毯,” which means “red carpet,” and “星” refers to “stars.” This term caught netizens’ attention Monday evening when Wang Sicong, son of Chinese tycoon Wang Jianlin, forwarded a message on his Weibo account, criticizing some Chinese stars who are keen to walk the red carpet of international film festivals dressed glamorously, although they usually didn’t appear in any of the films. This term quickly became a buzzword on Sina Weibo.
