NEVERLAND, the California property that once served as Michael Jackson’s home, is being listed for sale at US$100 million, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The 2,700-acre ranch in Santa Ynez Valley features a train station, a six-bedroom house and a 50-seat cinema. Its future has been in limbo since the star’s death in 2009.
Jackson originally paid just over US$19 million for the property in 1988 and added amenities such as a zoo and a small amusement park, which have since been removed.
He distanced himself from the ranch after his 2005 acquittal on charges that he molested children at the property.
Despite rumors after the King of Pop’s death that the property might be transformed into a Graceland like homage to the star, the property has been quietly maintained.(SD-Agencies)
