ECONOMIC FUGITIVE SENT BACK TO CHINA
     2015-June-9  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Sun Xin, No. 16 on China’s list of “100 most wanted economic fugitives,” is surrounded by reporters after being repatriated to Beijing yesterday, after being at large for seven years. The 46-year-old, a former cashier at the Beijing municipal bureau of press, is suspected of embezzling money while at the bureau. He allegedly transferred money to his own company and used some of it to invest in stocks and futures. He fled to Southeast Asia in October 2008. Beijing police learned that Sun was hiding in Cambodia in May and located him with the help of Cambodian police. Sun became the first Beijing native to be sent back to the city after Interpol’s National Central Bureau of China released a list of 100 people wanted worldwide in April, including 77 men and 23 women allegedly involved in corruption.Xinhua
