CHINA’S crude oil imports fell about 11 percent in May versus a year ago, in the steepest decline since November 2013, following record arrivals in the previous month, customs data showed.
The country imported 23.24 million tons of crude oil in May, or 5.47 million barrels per day (bpd), data from the General Administration of Customs showed yesterday, the lowest daily rate also since November 2013.
On a daily basis, May imports fell nearly 26 percent from April’s record 7.37 million bpd.(SD-Agencies)
