Make no bones about
毫无顾忌
Bone是"骨头",make no bones about是什么意思呢?请看对话:
A: I heard Mary set you up with someone. How was the dinner with your date?
B: She's cute. But when I was to pick up the bill, she made no bones about complaining how overcooked her steak was. So I am a little worried if she would be too hard to please.
Note: This idiom means to speak frankly and directly about something, without hesitation or evasion. A form of this expression was used as early as the 15th century and meant "without difficulty." In 15th century England, if someone wanted to express their dissatisfaction with something, they "found bones in it." This is a reference to the unwelcome discovery of bones in soup. If you found "no bones" in your meal, you were able to swallow it without any difficulty or objection.
