Actress rescues injured 5-year-old while filming
     2015-June-18  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

CHINESE actress Fan Bingbing garnered praise from netizens for helping a boy hurt in a road accident to the hospital, reported Chinese media.

Fan was in the middle of filming the Chinese variety show “Challengers Union” on Monday when she witnessed a road accident that left a 5-year-old boy injured in his mouth.

The actress took it upon herself to carry the boy to a nearby hospital by car for emergency treatment. She was accompanied by the boy’s teacher and a police officer. Fan registered the boy after they arrived at the hospital and informed his parents.

She also gave the boy’s aunt 300 yuan to help pay for his examination since the woman apparently left her phone and purse back at the scene of the crash.

The actress stayed with the boy until his checkup was over and consulted with doctors about his condition before leaving, according to police officer Yao Hongfeng.

While some Weibo users praised Fan for helping the boy, others deemed it a “publicity stunt” and said it was too much of a coincidence after the “Challengers Union” production team posted a series of photos of her with the boy on their Weibo microblog.(SD-Agencies)
