Meaning:
“彩色” means “color,” and “跑” means “run.” This term, which means “color run,” refers to a kind of running event introduced into China about two years ago. Inspired by the Hindu festival of Holi, it often involves a 5-km paint race. The untimed event has no winners or prizes, but runners are showered with colored powder, made of food-grade corn starch, at stations along the run. It is popular all around the world in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, New Zealand, Australia, and the UAE.
