New film shows Steve Jobs as megalomaniac
     2015-July-3  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

MICHAEL FASSBENDER’S portrayal of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs in Danny Boyle’s new film is that of a narcissistic megalomaniac.

The first trailer for the biopic, titled “Steve Jobs” and starring the Oscar-nominated Irish actor, has been unveiled online. Jobs died in 2011 following a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Kate Winslet stars opposite Fassbender as co-worker Joanna Hoffman while Seth Rogen plays his business partner Steve Wozniak and Jeff Daniels appears as former Apple president John Scully.

The trailer shows Wozniak complaining to Jobs that he took all the credit for his work creating the original Mac computer while Winslet’s character accuses him of “alienating people for no reason.”

It also shows how Jobs refused for many years to acknowledge or offer financial support to his daughter Lisa, who he fathered with high school sweetheart and Apple co-worker Chrisann Brennan.

“Steve Jobs” is due out in world cinemas in October.(SD-Agencies)
