THE highlight of Tuesday’s Chanel Haute Couture show in Paris was not Kristen Stewart opening the show in a slammin’ tux. Or even Kendall Jenner closing it out as a bride in a double-breasted jacket with a tulle train. It was your new Hollywood progeny obsession, Gabriel-Kane Day-Lewis, who escorted Julianne Moore to her roulette table for the casino-themed show.
Gabriel-Kane Day-Lewis, 20, is a singer/songwriter as well as a model. He’s been in Paris for several days, attending events for Paris Fashion Week. Monday night, before the Chanel show, he was at the Vogue Paris Foundation gala, per a personal invite from Naomi Campbell, according to his Instagram.
He also has an EP coming out later this year, also according to his Instagram. He is Daniel Day-Lewis’ oldest son; his mother is the French actress Isabelle Adjani, whom Daniel Day-Lewis dated for several years in the early 1990s. Daniel Day-Lewis is now married to director and screenwriter Rebecca Miller, and Gabriel has two half-siblings from that marriage. Gabriel also has an older half-brother, from one of his mother’s prior relationships.
While his father is notoriously private, Gabriel-Kane Day-Lewis shares a pretty steady stream of information about his life and selfies on Instagram. The platinum look is relatively new and in a post showing off the new dye job to the world, Gabriel-Kane Day-Lewis wrote, “Paris gone platinum.” The look also emphasizes the resemblance between him and his father.
Gabriel-Kane Day-Lewis was not the only celebrity progeny at Chanel’s Paris show. Lily-Rose Depp was also hitting the roulette table alongside her mother, Vanessa Paradis.
