ELTON JOHN is returning to Hong Kong after a three-year absence, with a show at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center in Wan Chai on Nov. 24, as part of his All the Hits Tour that will also include Singapore and Japan.
Tickets for the All the Hits Tour will go on sale July 27, at prices from HK$488-1,888 (US$76-297), via hkticketing.com.
The singer, who is known for his hit songs like “Candle in the Wind,” “Rocket Man” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight,” is expected to play his classic album tracks as well as selections from the album “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.”
The prolific singer-songwrtier, 68, whose career spans five decades, is one of the top-selling solo artists of all time, with album sales of more than 300 million worldwide. His single “Candle in the Wind” in 1997 sold over 33 million copies alone and is the best-selling single of all time. He has written the music for stage and screen hits “Billy Elliot: The Musical” and “The Lion King.”
Prior to his Hong Kong gig, he will play in Japan on Nov. 16 and Nov. 18. He will tour Singapore on Dec. 1 and 2 after the Hong Kong performance.
