CUSTOMERS can now make quick appointments for a change of hairstyle or order cosmetic products with just a few taps on their phones since the beauty industry is heading into a more intelligent era.

Spa Moments, one of China’s largest salon chains, announced in Shenzhen last week that the company will incorporate a new intelligent management system at over 80 branches nationwide by this October.

With this new move, Spa Moments will be the first salon in China to be managed intelligently based on Internet and Cloud technology.

Since the beginning of the year, the company has been working with Eher365, a corporation that builds online marketing and managing platforms for the beauty industry by incorporating cutting-edge technology.

Ye Shaye, a chairperson of Eher365, said the new intelligent system would help Spa Moments better manage its large number of stores and staff. Spa Moments wishes to enhance efficiency and offer more conveniences to customers.

For instance, customers can make reservations for any beauty service via an app or purchase cosmetic products by visiting the company’s online store. The products can then be delivered to the customer’s local salon or cosmologist directly.

“We have realized the profound importance of the Internet for a traditional industry such as beauty salons and providing more services via the Internet will be a fundamental element in the industry’s development,” said Liu Yuzi, another chairperson of Spa Moments.

Spa Moments is one of the most renowned and honored beauty institutions in China. Founded in Shenzhen 18 years ago, the company now has more than 100 branches around the country.
