Dolphin tries to eat man’s cellphone
     2015-July-28  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE moment a greedy dolphin launched out of the water in an attempt to eat a man’s phone has been captured on camera.

A group of men on a fishing trip at Whyalla, in South Australia, northwest of Adelaide, spotted some friendly dolphins following their boat and decided to film them.

“Look at that, that’s amazing,” the man holding the camera phone said, before one of the dolphins dramatically turned from cute to cheeky as it launched up to try and grab the device.

The dolphins appeared to gleefully smile back up at the men, until their eyes too big for their stomachs.

One of the men leaned in with his camera phone to film the dolphins from a closer angle, but the mammal mistook it for food and launched into the air to snap it up.

“The dolphin thought it was being fed and jumped up to take the ‘food’,” the YouTube clip reads.

The men laughed in astonishment, but the dolphin didn’t give up easily.

After trying to have a nibble on the phone, it swam off before quickly turning around and gliding back up alongside the boat.

“He’s coming back,” one of the men said, sounding startled and unsure of himself.

The dolphin smiled irresistibly up at the men and flipped its tail around joyfully as if performing for the prize of some food.
