TOM DALEY and Rebecca Gallantree of Britain won the new team diving event at the Aquatics World Championships in Kazan, Russia, on Wednesday.

The duo totaled 434.65 points in the three-round competition Wednesday night. Daley, the Olympic bronze medalist on 10-meter in London, earned 10s for his two dives off the tower, propelling Britain to victory.

The U.S. team of Jessica Parratto and David Boudia led by 38.2 points after Boudia’s platform dive earned 9.0s in the first round, but they finished seventh.

Meanwhile, Russia’s Natalya Ishchenko won a record 18th career synchronized swimming gold medal at the world championships with victory in the solo free routine. Ishchenko’s program scored 97.2333 points to beat China’s Huang Xuechen by 1.5333 points.(SD-Agencies)
