‘Breaking Bad’ house hits market for $1.6m
     2015-July-31  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

FANS of the hit TV series “Breaking Bad” can now secure one of the show’s iconic homes.

The house of young aspiring meth dealer Jesse Pinkman has hit the market for US$1.6 million.

Located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the Spanish Colonial revival home was the setting of the infamous bathtub scene that showed millions of viewers how not to dispose of a body.

But any potential buyers can rest assured they won’t find a gaping hole in their new bathroom — the producers built a replica set of the home to avoid damage to the property.

The two-story home has four bedrooms, wooden floors and stone-framed fireplaces and doorways. It also looks to be good value considering how much other “Breaking Bad” memorabilia has sold for in the past.

In 2013, a pair of Walter White’s tighty whities sold for US$9,900 at auction.

“Live like Jesse Pinkman. Meth lab not included” boasts the listing.

Despite some of the questionable activities that went on in the home during the TV show, the house is situated in the Hunting Castle neighborhood which is “known for its wide boulevards, tree-lined streets, and the beautifully authentic architecture of the early 20th century,” according to marketing material.

Another bonus for potential buyers is that, unlike the home where White lived in the series, the Albuquerque residence isn’t getting pizzas thrown on its roof.

Die-hard fans of the show have reportedly been going to the property and tossing pizza on the roof like White did in season three.

In March, series creator Vince Gilligan told fans in a podcast to stop wasting their pizza. “There is nothing original, or funny, or cool about throwing a pizza on this lady’s roof,” Gilligan said. “It’s been done before — you’re not the first.”(SD-Agencies)
