Rescuers search for survivors yesterday after two people went missing and seven killed in a flood triggered by rain in Northwest China’s Shaanxi Province. Thirteen people were washed away from a riverside restaurant at Xiaoyuhe Village in Chang’an District in Xi’an, the provincial capital, at around 5:15 p.m. Monday. Four were rescued. The precipitation at the village was recorded at 145.7mm, the highest in the past 30 years.Xinhua
