A SHOCKED woman who saw an online photo of someone who looked exactly like her has managed to track her down — and discovered she lives in America, too.
Amanda Fisher, 23, of Frisco, Texas, was alerted to her doppelganger by a friend, who said there was a woman on Instagram who looked identical to her, according to Buzzfeed.
After seeing pictures of Meredith Pond, 22, Fisher was startled by the striking resemblance.
However, she pointed out the biggest difference between the pair is their noses.
Fisher, who people often say looks like Zooey Deschanel or Katy Perry, decided she wanted to speak to Pond.
After a failed attempt at contacting her on Instagram, she took to the visual storytelling site, Imgur, to ask users for help.
“Friends found my twin, but I can’t reach her!” her Imgur post was titled.
“They found her in Instagram but it doesn’t seem like she uses it very much,” Fisher wrote.
“I have a feeling she uses Imgur judging by the pictures she has posted. I’m hoping she will see this so she can be just as weirded out as me!”
Fisher wrote a follow-up post saying she would update people if she found her “twin.”
“In response to all the messages, yes I will update everyone if I find her!” she wrote.
“Also, I’m cracking up because half of you say ‘Both of these pictures are you’ and the other half says ‘You look nothing alike’.”
Eventually another Imgur user who knew Fisher’s “twin” sent her Pond’s Facebook page, where Fisher reached out to her and discovered she lived in Indiana.
“I just thought it would be nifty to talk to her and to see what she thought about the whole thing,” Fisher told Buzzfeed.
The pair had a conversation but Fisher thinks Pond was probably initially “frightened and confused,” according to Buzzfeed.
