Q萌
     2015-August-18  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    Meaning:

Chinese netizens use “Q” in place for English word “cute,” and “萌” also means “cute.” Therefore, “Q萌” means “very cute.”

    Example:

    Nǐ kàn le zhuōyāojì ma?

Have you watched the movie “Monster Hunt?”

Kàn le, dònghuà hěn jīngzhì, gùshì yībānbān。

Yes, I have. The animation is exquisite, but the story is so-so.

Nǐ xǐhuān xiǎoyāowáng de xíngxiàng ma?

Do you like the image of the little monster king?

Some people say he’s cute, but I see nothing special except that his ears look like Shrek’s.
