A foreigner leads an ox in Wuhan, capital of Central China’s Hubei Province, in an activity held to observe the traditional Chinese Valentine’s Day that fell on Thursday. Qixi, or Chinese Valentine’s Day, the seventh day of the seventh lunar month, is the only Chinese festival devoted to love in the lunar calendar. According to a beloved traditional Chinese folk tale, it is the day when the Weaver Girl (Zhinu) and Cowherd (Niulang) can finally reunite for a night after a year’s separation.
