Mother is buried with vouchers
     2015-August-24  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A BRITISH woman who loved Marks and Spencer so much she became known as her local branch’s most loyal customer was buried with vouchers from the chain in her coffin Friday.

Carol Cowell’s son Luke said, “She will use them at the M&S store in heaven she expected to find.”

A Facebook post in honor of Cowell, 68, who died after a two-month battle with cancer, has attracted more than 6,000 “likes,” with many from M&S staff and customers.

She had visited branches of the store for much of her life, either to shop or have a daily coffee in their cafes.

“We put M&S vouchers in her coffin because she was determined to find their store in the sky, as she put it,” said her son.

Cowell, of Fleetwood, Lancashire, had been a regular at a branch in Blackpool after the one in her hometown closed 15 years ago.

She also used a branch at Blackpool Victoria hospital during her illness. Blackpool store manager Amanda Reynold said, “Carol was our most loyal customer. What has happened is so sad.”(SD-Agencies)
