吓死宝宝了
     2015-August-25  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    Meaning:

“吓死” means to “scare to death,” and “宝宝” means “baby.” Used by Chinese netizens to proclaim that they are cute, the “baby” here refers to people who use this catch phrase themselves. Therefore, this simply means “I am scared to death.” A popular singer on m.yy.com, a broadcasting website, by the nickname of dongfangbaobao (oriental baby) reportedly likes to use the phrase. It was soon picked up by those who think themselves cute. Chinese actor Wang Baoqiang also used it on the TV show “Running Man.”

    Example:

    A: 你看什么呢?

    Nǐ kàn shénme ne?

    What are you checking out?

Chen Xiao posted a photo of himself online with a large beard. At first sight I thought the handsome young actor had sported a beard, but looking closely I found he used a sticker function offered by xiuxiu.meitu.com.

    A: 我看看。哎呀,吓死宝宝了。

    Wǒ kànkàn。Aiya, xiàsǐ bǎobǎo le。

Let me have a look. Ouch, I am scared to death.
