Taxi boss praises ‘artistic’ vandals for cab
     2015-August-31  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A TAXI company boss was given a shock — and a laugh — when he arrived at work to find vandals had transformed his cab into a giant Spam tin by wrapping it in foil.

Mark Fleming, who owns 65 taxis in Hull, East Yorks, Britain, made the bizarre and startling discovery after turning up for work Friday morning.

He said, “I came into work first thing and I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw what had been done.

“It is quite a sight to see and loads of people have been stopping and taking pictures.

“It is completely covered in tinfoil with the word ‘Spam’ stamped across it and there is even a spade sticking out to look like a ring pull to open a can.”

Staff claimed they saw two people acting suspiciously near the car at about 4:30 a.m. Friday.

They chased the men away but did not realize the extent of their prank until the morning.

Mark takes great pride in the London black taxi that is stationed outside the business.

He bought it at auction for £300 (US$461), driving it back from the capital and parking outside the firm’s office where it has remained ever since.

Mark, who sees the new design as a blessing in disguise, said, “This is a very artistic area and it is attracting lots of attention.

“So even though it is covering up my company logo, I’m going to keep it on there.

“I actually really like it and I’m the sort of person who can see the funny side but I’ve got to admit that I am just a bit confused about who has done it and why.”(SD-Agencies)
