Firefighters evacuate a child after a commercial building in Ningde City in East China’s Fujian Province caught fire yesterday. Firefighters and residents managed to pull out more than 100 children trapped in a kindergarten on the second floor of the building. Some children were thrown to safety by adults in the kindergarten while others were waiting to catch them on the ground. More than 100 people, including 92 children, were taken to the hospital for observation or treatment. No deaths were reported. Authorities are investigating the cause of the blaze.Xinhua
