CHINESE celebrity couple Huang Xiao-ming and Angelababy held a high-profile wedding banquet Thursday in Shanghai.

    The couple invited over 2,000 guests to the banquet. Among the guests were pianist Li Yundi, actors Huang Bo and Deng Chao, singers Li Yuchun and Han Hong and actresses Li Bingbing and Ni Ni.

    Huang, 37, announced the marriage in May on Sina Weibo by sharing a photo of the couple’s marriage certificates’ covers. They registered their marriage in Huang’s hometown in Qingdao, Shandong Province. He and Angelababy, 26, dated for six years, but only went public with their relationship in the past year.

    Born and raised in Shanghai, Angelababy moved to Hong Kong in her teens and has acted in movies such as “Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Dragon Sea” (2013). She also made a splash on television in the Chinese adaptation of the South Korean variety show “Running Man.”

    One of China’s high-profile actors, Huang is known for his roles in movies such as “Ip Man 2” (2010) and TV shows such as “The Return of the Condor Heroes” (2006).(SD-Agencies)
