THIS could be the smallest office in the world and yet offers the chance to work from anywhere you choose.
Danish creative director Jonas Hallberg has transformed an old trailer into a unique workspace on wheels, which despite its size still offer a few luxuries.
Inside there are tea and coffee-making facilities, 4G Internet connection, a fridge and the stand-out feature of a fire-burning stove.
Not forgetting a desk of course. Outside at the entrance there is even a postbox, although Hallberg admits it receives more letters of admiration than registered mail.
The walls outside are made from recycled wood and from an old worn jetty. The inside walls are built of aluminum to reduce weight and then covered with drywall.
The floor is made of recycled wood and varnished and the stove can easily heat such a small place. And another key attribute is that the old trailer has retained its wheels — that means the owner can work from wherever he chooses.
Speaking about how he came to decide on the design, Hallberg said, “You have to keep in mind the weight so I have chosen only what is absolutely necessary.”
“I love to make ideas come true and I make them because it makes sense.
“For me it is a practical need and it represents me for who I am. My rent is paid once and I meet many strangers on the road and it makes brilliant PR for my business and as a person.”
Hallberg says the most common queries from his customers about the office are whether the stove is “real” and if it is legal.
The tiny office cost £23,000 (US$34,819) and took just five weeks to convert. It is three meters long, two meters wide and 2.85 meters high, not including the chimney.
