双面胶
shuāngmiànjiāo
Meaning: Literally translated as "twin adhesive," this term refers to a man who smoothens the relationship between his mother and his wife and tries to keep a harmonious family just like the "twin adhesive" used to glue two different objects into one. The term might become widely known after Liu Liu, a Chinese author wrote a novel by this title, which was adapted into a popular TV series by the same name in 2007. In the novel, however, the man fails to make peace between his mother and wife, whose conflicts end in a tragedy.
