Singaporean singer-songwriter Stefanie Sun will collaborate with Taiwanese singer Cyndi Wang, Malaysian singer Gary Chaw and some Chinese mainland singers for a show Saturday at the Shenzhen Bay Sports Center.

    Sun has sold over 30 million copies of her albums during the span of her career. She is based in Taiwan. Her popularity extends to China, Malaysia and her native Singapore.

    Wang had taken part in various singing competitions since an early age and had previously made some appearances in various Taiwanese TV dramas. She also composed two songs for her albums “Magic Cyndi” and “Fly! Cyndi.” She wrote the lyrics of “I’ll Be Better” for her album “H2H.” Her self-composed “Stick to You” from her latest album “Sticky” was chosen as the opening theme song for her latest drama “Love Keeps Going.”

    Soon after the Avex Taiwan competition, Wang was given a chance to go to Japan. She earned herself a graduation certificate and records from Japan’s Avex Trax. Wang has been invited to sing at a number of events, including a 2008 New Year Countdown performance in Kaohsiung.

    Chaw has had achieved success in China, Malaysia and Singapore. He is renowned for his stage presence, wide vocal range and rich voice. In addition, he composes for himself and other singers.

    In 2010, he joined BMA and has since been dubbed “Asia’s Best Male Singer” by the media. His most recent concert tour of Asia, “Welcome to My World,” was a great success. His vocal range is from G3 to C6. He also sang “My Way” by Frank Sinatra switching between low tenor and countertenor range.

    In 2006, Chaw won Hong Kong TVB8’s Best Newcomer Singer award. His big break came with the release of his Mandarin version of Karyn White’s 1988 song “Superwoman.” With this song, he won the Best Mandarin Male Singer award at the 19th Golden Melody Awards.

    Chaw has written some chart-topping songs in Taiwan sung by S.H.E, Cyndi Wang and Aaron Kwok. He says he was influenced by Stevie Wonder and R. Kelly.
