Andy Warhol’s works

    Works by American artist Andy Warhol, a leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art, will be shown at The MixC starting Saturday.

    Dates: Dec. 12-Jan.15

    Hours: 10 a.m.-10 p.m. (except Thursdays), 10 a.m.-6 p.m. (Thursdays); No entry one hour before closing time.

    Tickets: 100 yuan (one ticket for one person), 480 yuan (one VIP ticket per person, no need to queue, some rare artworks can be seen, free snacks and beverages provided). Children 1.2 meters tall or less are admitted free with a paying adult (only one child per adult)

    Book Exchange

    Book Exchange is an event organized by U.S. teacher Glen Cornell for local book-lovers to share books. Cornell said they currently have over 500 English books and 100 Chinese books within the exchange program. Attendees are invited to donate and borrow books.

    ‘The Peacock’

    Chinese dancer Yang Liping will present her dance drama “The Peacock” at the Shenzhen Poly Theater. Yang has taken her inspiration from folk culture, nature, the earth and various forms of art.

    Taiwanese food carnival

    Traditional Taiwanese street foods are being sold by 50 vendors at the Taiwanese food carnival. You can catch a free shuttle bus from the Metro station.

    Sound art

    Sound installations created by domestic and international artists are on display. The Archival Listening Exhibition displays posters of past sound art festivals in China and a wide variety of sound artworks can be accessed.
