     2015-December-14  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Tsai Chin, a veteran pop singer from Taiwan, will give a concert of nostalgic songs at Shenzhen Bay Sports Center on Dec. 22.

Tsai made her debut appearance as a folk singer in the 1970s and released her first album, “Leave the Boundary,” in 1979. In the 30 years since, she has released more than 50 albums and won numerous prizes and awards. Her representative works include “As Gentle As a Breeze,” “Your Eyes,” “The Last Night,” “New Love,” “Read You” and “The Forgotten Time.”

The peak of her popularity in Taiwan was from the late 1970s to the mid-1990s but she remains popular on the Chinese mainland. In recent decades, Tsai’s songs have endeared her to her fans with their purity, elegance and understated profundity. Her songs are said to have easily stood the test of time.
