Homeless cats, collected by volunteers from the local cat-caring website szcat.org, are waiting for pet lovers to take them home from an adoption event Saturday at Central Walk Shopping Plaza. All cats will be available to new owners free of charge.

    Organized by szcat.org, the event will also feature a pet-raising education session and entertaining performances. According to the organizer, the event will encourage people not to abandon their pets even if they move out of the city.

    At the event, all attendees are welcome to enter a lucky draw for a Drinkwell pet fountain provided by world-renowned pet product company PetSafe. A local pet hospital will also provide 25 coupons for free sterilizations of male cats and 25 coupons for free vaccines. The coupons are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
