Cat adoption
Homeless cats are waiting for pet lovers to take them home from an adoption event Saturday at Central Walk Shopping Plaza. All cats will be available to new owners free of charge.
At the event, all attendees are welcome to enter a lucky draw for a Drinkwell pet fountain provided by world-renowned pet product company PetSafe. A local pet hospital will also provide 25 coupons for free sterilizations of male cats and 25 coupons for free rabies vaccines. The coupons are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

SantaCon
Hundreds of people will be dressed as Santa Claus and walk the streets of Shenzhen giving out gifts to kids in the city’s largest Santa Claus parade.

Sea World Light Festival
The festival will be divided into two areas, with the outdoor area exhibiting works by domestic artists and the indoor area works by foreign artists.

Charity events
“A Heart for China,” a charity group that cares for people in need in China such a disabled autistic children, orphans and the elderly, is organizing two events this weekend.
On Saturday afternoon, volunteers will visit Shenzhen Huayang Special Children Rehabilitation Center. The school has more than 140 children and volunteers will spend some time with them. You can bring cookies, soya milk or milk in 250ml packages.
On Sunday afternoon, volunteers will head to Renda • Benevolence Nursing Home, which has more than 90 elderly residents.
