Adele’s ‘25’ set to smash new industry record
     2015-December-25  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

SUPER songstress Adele is on route to sell a million copies of her latest album “25” by Christmas in the United States for its third non-consecutive week, breaking yet another music industry benchmark (via Billboard).

The historic milestone would be added to the album’s already stellar record — after “25” became the only album to ever sell more than 1 million copies in multiple weeks, selling 3.38 million copies in week one and 1.11 million copies within week two of its release.

Overall, that would make “25” the biggest-selling album released in the United States since Adele’s last album, “21,” which sold 11.37 million copies, after it was released in 2011.

The sales total for “25” for the week is scheduled to be announced Sunday — after Nielsen Music has completed processing its sales data for the week.(SD-Agencies)
