    Top Christmas song

THE National Health Service Choir has beaten Justin Bieber to capture Britain’s official Christmas No. 1 song.

The Canadian pop star’s “Love Yourself” was ahead earlier this week — but then Bieber tweeted that he wanted fans to “do the right thing” and boost the charity single to the coveted spot. The choir’s mash-up “A Bridge Over You” on Friday finished nearly 31,000 copies ahead of Bieber in the singles competition — although he still commands three of the top five spots.

    Tour postponed

JANET JACKSON says she is postponing her “Unbreakable” tour to have an unspecified surgical procedure. The 49-year-old singer posted a message on her website and social media sites Thursday, announcing that all future tour dates had been postponed until the spring. No new dates were announced. The singer’s statement asked for prayers of support and said no further details on her medical condition would be disclosed.

Representing the east, west, south and north of China, Quanzhou, Xi’an, Shenzhen, and Hulunbeir will join Beijing to celebrate the Year of the Monkey. All four cities will host the show in the open air. The gala will be aired live Feb. 7.
