New Year races

    Local running group Run Fit is organizing several races for the morning of Jan. 1 in Nanshan District to welcome the New Year. The categories are 5km and 10km races inside Shenzhen Bay Park and 8km from Sea World to Chiwan. Runners must be between the ages of 12 and 65 years old and all applications should be submitted via WeChat to the account “run-fit.”

    Rave Radio

    Rave Radio is Queensland’s fastest rising dance music duo, made up of James Todman & Brett Allen. In the past 12 months, the pair have remixed official tracks for Akon & Kylian Mash, Lil Wayne, Stanton Warriors, Tim Healy, Bombs Away, Fabian Gray. If that wasn’t enough, they’ve been appearing on main stages of Creamfields Festival, Future Music Festival & Summafieldayz Festival plus touring their explosive live DJ set around the country.

    La Vivo

    Ukrainian male vocal ensemble La Vivo will perform a cappella. The ensemble was created in winter 2009 by Stanislav Lyudkevych Lviv State Music College students. Through their music, La Vivo offers listeners an unusual and original vision of various vocal and instrumental works.

    First Fridays

    First Fridays is heading to the beach for a special New Year event, screening eight great local short films outdoors! There’s also an art wall painting event from 4 p.m. and DJs (Dante, Quest, Technics, CEO) spinning vinyl records.

    Tickets: Free before 8 p.m., 30 yuan after 8 p.m.
