Harry Styles pens new songs
     2016-January-1  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Harry Styles is writing new music with Snow Patrol as he gears up for a potential solo career.

Despite claiming none of the band would pursue their own separate music careers, the One Direction star is now expected to go it alone when the band takes a proper break in the spring.

And Irish rocker Johnny McDaid — the Snow Patrol pianist who split from “Friends” star fiancee Courtney Cox three weeks ago — has been helping him pen new tracks.

Also joined by Snow Patrol guitarist Gary Lightbody, Styles has now written four tracks called “Endlessly,” “5378 Miles,” “Already Home” and “Coco.”

They were detected after being registered online via ASCAP (the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers).

While the 21-year-old has previously sung about ex Taylor Swift in One Direction track “Perfect,” these new songs are sure to have been partly inspired by McDaid and Cox’s breakup.

McDaid has already worked extensively with Ed Sheeran.
