Record holder boasts 1,497 credit cards
     2016-January-7  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A MAN with 1,497 credit cards has revealed his journey to the Guinness Book of World Records for his financial fortitude all started with a wager with a friend.

Walter Cavanagh, who is in the hallowed pages for having the most credit cards and the world’s longest wallet, says that he doesn’t actually carry the cards around, though.

Although his pocket book stretches 250 feet (76 meters), weighs about 17 kilograms and holds 800 valid cards, he tends to store his cards in safety deposit boxes, according to ABC News.

Guinness World Records called him “Mr. Plastic Fantastic” and has featured him every year since 1971. The total credit open to Cavanagh is around £1.1 million (US$1.61 million), and he says his credit score is nearly perfect, as he actually only uses one card and pays it off monthly.(SD-Agencies)
