Guangzhou R&F Football Club will compete against Fudbalski Klub Radnicki Nis from Serbia in a New Year match Jan. 24.
Guangzhou R&F Football Club is a professional soccer club that currently participates in the Chinese Super League under license from the Chinese Football Association (CFA). The team’s current head coach is Dragan Stojkovic, a former Serbian soccer player.
Fudbalski Klub Radnicki Nis, meaning “Nis Laborers Football Club,” is based in Nis, the third-largest city in Serbia.
Radnicki Nis was one of the most stable clubs in the former Yugoslavia; the team spent 29 seasons in the Yugoslav First League, achieved the third place in 1980 and 1981 and finished in the Top 10 in the Yugoslav First League all-time table.
