Mubarak sentence
EGYPT’S top appeals court upheld Saturday a three-year prison sentence for ousted president Hosni Mubarak and his two sons for corruption.
It was not immediately clear how long Mubarak would remain in detention. Both of his sons were set free in October with time served taken into account.
Suspicious powder
SWEDISH airport officials said yesterday they closed the departure lounge at Skavsta Airport and halted outgoing flights after a suspicious powder was found in a passenger’s hand luggage.
Airport spokesman Joakim Lindholm said that parts of the check-in area and baggage hall of the departure terminal were evacuated, delaying at least three flights by more than two hours.
